Adrian "GOOD MORNING VIETNAM" Cronaur
The Vietnam Conflict brought out
the best and the worst of times. Our Country was engaged in a war many saw no
reason to fight. For the fighting man or woman in Viet-Nam the entertainment
provided by the Military was to put it bluntly boring. One of the few touches of
home in an overseas assignment has always been Armed Forces Radio. In Viet-Nam
the announcers were just that boring. Here at home Rock and roll
disc jockeys were making their mark on the listening public and so it was to be
when the voice of Airman Adrian Cronaur burst forth with his now famous…………..
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Morning Viet-Nam!
Cronaur broke the mold when he
became a personality playing the music the GI’s wanted to hear and inserting his
own brand of humor. He will always be immortalized for his humanity and what he
provided the home sick who were in country.
The Movie Good Morning Viet-Nam
with Robin Williams portraying Cronaur is today a true American classic.
Continuing service to his country
Cronaur was appointed Vice Chair for Veterans for the Bush-Cheney Coalition in
2000.
