Guest Lecture SeriesThe MOS, in a continuing effort to educate and entertain its members and those who have an interest in military history, has instituted a Guest Lecturer Series. The individuals chosen to speak have imparted the actual events of their histories as it happened to them. Hearing the stories or historical information direct from these individuals is an enlightening experience. Doctor Gene Gillum, M.D. - 315th Bomb Group (B-29s) on Guam, 1944 to 1945 Doctor Ralph Schenck, M.D. - RAF pilot in England and Northern Ireland 1943 to 1945. Flew photo recon Spitfires over Northern Europe. Marion Walker, WW2 USMC veteran, 28th Marine Regiment, Iwo Jima, February 1945. Jim Smith - Author of The Last Mission about the final B-29 bombing raid against Japan in WW2. Cliff Moser - USN Medic aboard the USS Cole when it was attacked in October, 2000. 1st Lt Walter Palmer - WW2 fighter pilot with the Tuskegee Airmen. Gov.
