Guest Lecture Series

The MOS, in a continuing effort to educate and entertain its members and those who have an interest in military history, has instituted a Guest Lecturer Series. The individuals chosen to speak have imparted the actual events of their histories as it happened to them. Hearing the stories or historical information direct from these individuals is an enlightening experience.

George Koskimaki, 101st Airborne Veteran of WW2, author of the book D-Day with the Screaming Eagles and guest speaker at our 2008 Annual Meeting.

Chris Armold, MSGT USAF (Ret.), author of Steel Pots and Painted Steel both about the history and evolution of the American military helmet.

Doctor Gene Gillum, M.D. - 315th Bomb Group (B-29s) on Guam, 1944 to 1945

Doctor Ralph Schenck, M.D. - RAF pilot in England and Northern Ireland 1943 to 1945. Flew photo recon Spitfires over Northern Europe.
